Mimusops elengi:
In the Philippines, Tavera reports that the trunk is astringent, and in decoction, is given by mouth for fevers and diarrhea. Locally it is used as an injection for blenorrhea, as a gargle for sore throat or relaxed uvula, and as a mouthwash to harden the gums.
