Withania Somnifera:
Ashwagandha is rich in iron, which contributes to increased red blood cell count. Additionally, scientists have discovered that ashwagandha contains significant amounts of the amino acids arginine and ornithine. These amino acids are needed for proper nervous system function.

Amla fruits (Emblica officinalis) used as an acidulant in Indian dietary are claimed to be rich source of ascorbic acid.
